Making things for Briarbound

Briarbound is meant to be built on. This page says what you may publish without asking.

You may

• Write and sell adventures, settings, hero options, and tools that require the Briarbound Core Rulebook to use.
• Quote rules terminology and mechanics: Haggle with Fate, Knack, Trouble, Pillars, Pillar Points, Tier, path position, learning from another Role, Regroup, Incapacitated, Defeated, and the result bands.
• Reproduce short procedural summaries needed to run your material.
• Say that your work is compatible with Briarbound.

You may not

• Reproduce the Core Rulebook's text wholesale, or the Character Vault's ability library.
• Use the Briarbound logo, wordmark, or trade dress on your cover or storefront listing.
• Imply that your work is official, endorsed, or published by NeonWindmill.
• Use the Tallowmere cast and locations as though they were yours to define canonically. Visit them, change them at your table, but do not publish answers to the questions the Core Rulebook leaves open.
